About Us

Hey, this is Yonghao, founder of Kitō.

Kitō started during a turning point in my life. After years of working in the corporate world, I felt disconnected. I had lost touch with the part of myself that once loved to create, to focus, to make something real with care.

When I stepped away from that life, I came home to a town known for leather, and to a slower pace I had long forgotten. I picked up some tools, started stitching, and found something I didn’t know I’d been missing: stillness, presence, and the deep satisfaction of working with my hands.

Kitō was born from that rediscovery.

Our Zen craft kits are designed to offer more than just a finished product. They’re an invitation to slow down. To carve out quiet time. To reconnect with yourself through the simple, mindful act of making.

Kitō is grounded in the values of slow fashion and mindful living. We believe in making things that last, using materials with respect, and choosing presence over productivity.

Thanks for being here. Whether you’re looking to try something new or simply take a breath, I hope Kitō gives you the space to do it—with your hands, your heart, and your full attention.

Zhuoying takes care of the design and branding strategy for Kitō.

"When life or work feels overwhelming, creativity is my escape — my reset button. That’s why I believe in what we’re building: not just DIY craft kits, but a window of time to breathe, create, and recharge."
